Last night, on September 30, 2008, Law and Order ran a provoking episode revolving around pedophilia and whether it was caused by genetics or simply upbringing and circumstances. Involving many different child pornography and child abuse and molestation laws and bringing up many different categories in the sex crimes category, the episode covered a wide variety of subject matters.  This episode revolved around a researcher, a proclaimed ”fan” of 3-9 year old girls who claimed to have discovered a “gene”–proving, thereby, that being gay or a pedophile is something that is genetic and not simply learned behavior from past experiences.
